City of Clayton Proclamtion declared October 2005 "Community Circles Month"
City of Clayton Proclamation
Whereas trust is essential for cooperation to exist between people of diversity in our common pursuit of happiness, prosperity and freedom;
Whereas social groups in our community can and do build circles of trust between individuals who gather together in pursuit of common interests such as sports, entertainment, the arts & and worship; and
Whereas the activities that social groups engage in, give people of diverse backgrounds an opportunity to get to know each other and develop working relationships with each other; and
Whereas peace, safety and efficient operation of services within the City is benefited by its cooperation with a vast support network of organizations, agencies, and social groups;
Whereas the City appreciates the contributions of the many social groups who work to build trust within their circles of influence in our community;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Gregory J. Manning, Mayor, on behalf of the Clayton City Council, do hereby proclaim Ocotber 2005 as
- "Community Circles Month"
in the City of Clayton, California and encourage all it's citizens to participate in programs, events, business endeavors and/or any other activities which build trust and collaboration within our community.
